Chongqing Rail Transit Line 15 (also known as Chongqing Urban Express Line 15) is an east–west urban express rail line currently under construction in Chongqing. It is Chongqing’s first urban express rail line, extending from Zengjia Station in the west to Liangjiang Film City Station in the east. The line is being developed in two phases, with Phase I commencing construction on March 2, 2021, and Phase II beginning in October 2021. Both phases are planned to be completed and put into operation simultaneously, with Phase I expected to open in 2025.

• Phase I of Line 15 starts at Chongguang Interchange Station and ends at Liangjiang Film City Station, comprising 14 stations. This segment links several key areas including Zhaomushan, Aegean Sea commercial district, Auto Expo City, Lianglu Urban Area, Airport New City, and Longxing Industrial Park, and connects major transportation hubs such as Jiangbei International Airport and Fusheng High-Speed Railway Station. It serves as a rapid transit corridor from the eastern trough area into the city center.

• Phase II begins at Zengjia Station and ends at Chongguang Interchange Station (the starting point of Phase I), with 11 stations along the route. It passes through:

  • Chongqing University of Science and Technology Station

  • Chenjiaqiao Station

  • Chongqing College of Electronic Engineering Station

  • Zhangjiawan Station

  • Wuyun New City Station

  • Jingkou Station

  • Lixuelu Station

  • Jinshan Temple Station

  • Happy Valley Station

The total line length is approximately 71.53 kilometers. The line adopts 25kV AC traction urban express train systems, with a maximum operating speed of 140 km/h.
